  • 9 cups of water, or 1.8L;

  • 2 sachets of ready-made bean seasoning;
  • 1 cup of carioquinha beans, soaked for 2 hours;
  • 1 piece of ground beef or 300g;
  • 1 clove of chopped garlic;
  • 1 small onion, chopped.

In a pressure cooker, add the oil and heat over high heat until hot. When hot, add the onion and garlic and sauté for two minutes or until the onion becomes transparent.

Once it is well browned, add the meat and fry for 15 minutes without letting it burn, turning it on all sides so that it is well cooked.

When frying, add the beans, bean seasoning, salt and water, cover the pan and let it cook over medium heat for at least 30 minutes.

After the time has passed, turn off the heat and wait for the pressure to release before opening the pan. Be very careful at this point so that the pan doesn't explode!

Remove the meat, place it in a pot or bowl and shred it, then set aside. Place the beans in a blender and blend for 2 minutes or until completely smooth.
