For the filling:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • chopped seedless tomato
  • 3 cups (tea) of shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of corn 
  • Salt, black pepper and chopped parsley
  • 1 cup (tea) of grated cheese

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, butter and cream until it reaches a more homogeneous consistency. Wrap the mixture in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 
  2. To make the filling, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Then, sauté the onion and garlic for about 3 minutes. Then add the tomato and sauté for 3 minutes. Now, add the chicken, corn, salt, pepper and parsley. Let it cool a little so you can add the cheese and mix for a little longer.
  3. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough and cut into circles of the size you think is best. Do this with a cutter or the mouth of a glass (you can do this with a dough with other ingredients). Once done, fill it by placing a portion in the center, fold it in half and press the edges with a fork to close the pastries well.
  4. Finally, add to a greased pan, brush the pastries with the beaten egg yolk and place in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown. If you want, feel free to decorate and serve.
