Health benefits

In addition to being a versatile and delicious vegetable, pepper is very good for us health.

And in fact, it is more accurate to say that each color of pepper has different effects related to our health.

For example, red pepper is rich in lycopene, which is responsible for helping to reduce cardiovascular problems. It is ideal for those with diabetes or psoriasis, due to its vitamins.

Just like green peppers, which also have their benefits. They are aimed at preventing diseases such as prostate, lung, intestinal cancer and others.

And finally, yellow peppers have a large amount of vitamin C, experts say that when consumed just 100g of yellow peppers, it is as if we were ingesting more or less 200% of the necessary vitamin C per day.

Learn how to make stuffed peppers

As you already know the benefits of each color of pepper, you can choose which one to use for this recipe. Let's see the ingredients to prepare stuffed peppers:

  • 2 medium or large peppers;
  • 3 tablespoons of cottage cheese;
  • 2 slices of ham;
  • ½ chopped onion;
  • salt to taste
  • 300g of ground meat;
  • 2 slices of cheese
  • 1 chopped carrot;
  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic;
  • 1 piece of bacon.

Remembering that for this recipe, carrots and bacon are optional, you will only add them if you want.

Start your recipe by washing the peppers very well to remove dirt, and in the “foot” of each one, make a hole like a lid.

Remove all the seeds, as they are what give the peppers their heat, and set aside. Meanwhile, season the meat for the next step.

To make your filling, take a pan and sauté the chopped onion and garlic, also add the chopped bacon and let it brown for a while.

In this pan, place the meat ground and stir well, mix with the cut carrot and then add a glass of water and cook until the carrot is soft and the water dries up.

Cut the ham and cheese into cubes or small pieces to add to the pan as well. Leave time in the pan for the cheese to melt and stir well.

Finally, add the cream cheese and mix so that everything is incorporated into your recipe and becomes delicious.

Now let's assemble, take the peppers and add the filling to each one until they are complete.

In an oven-safe bowl, or on an aluminum baking tray, place the peppers wrapped in aluminum foil and place in a preheated oven at 220° for 20 minutes.

To improve the presentation, you can add another slice of cheese on top of the pepper so that it melts in the oven and becomes even more delicious. Everyone will definitely love this dish.
