How to prepare a sauce for Yakisoba

And so that you can prepare the delicious Yakissoba sauce in your own home, you need to separate the following ingredients:

  • 1 ½ liters of boiling water;
  • ½ tablespoon of vegetable oil;
  • 3 drops of toasted black sesame oil, but optional;
  • salt to taste;
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar;
  • grated ginger to taste;
  • 1 cup of soy sauce;
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch.

In a small container, dissolve the cornstarch in ½ cup of water and set aside.

Then place a pan over low heat, heat the vegetable oil and black sesame oil, which is optional, and sauté the grated ginger a little along with the soy sauce.

Then mix well and add the sugar, salt and boiling water, always stirring a lot.

While stirring, add the dissolved cornstarch to the water and wait for it to start boiling. As soon as it starts boiling, the texture should start to become creamier due to the cornstarch. At this point, remove from the heat.

And when it's ready, just pour it over your Yakisoba, this sauce is delicious and very similar, if not the same, as the original.

If you want the sauce to be spicier, we recommend adding a little black pepper.
