Learn how to prepare pickled biquinho peppers
It is extremely easy to prepare a biquinho pepper preserve, extremely simple and it becomes something extremely tasty.
To prepare you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of salt;
- garlic, optional;
- 1 spoon of sugar;
- pepper in a beak;
- alcohol vinegar – the ideal is to use regular alcohol.
And of course you will also need a completely clean and sterilized glass jar. Note that there are not many exact measurements for this recipe, because in reality everything will depend on the size of the jar that will be used.
To start, wash all the peppers carefully and remove the stem from each one, then set aside.
In the meantime, if you haven't already sterilized your pot, put water to boil and leave it inside the pan sterilizing to store your peppers.
In another pan, place the alcohol vinegar, the common one, relative to the size of your pot, add the sugar, mix and let it boil a little until the sugar starts to dissolve.
To further eliminate bacteria from your pepper and begin the blanching process, pour boiling water over all the biquinho peppers.
Leave it in boiling water for at least two minutes and then transfer it to cold water for the same amount of time.
Using a sieve or colander, remove the water and let it dry. Once dry, transfer it to a sterilized jar, but it must be really dry so that it does not spoil.
With all the peppers inside the jar, add the garlic cloves if you wish, as this is an optional ingredient, add the salt and the vinegar and sugar mixture.
This biquinho pepper preserve should be kept in the refrigerator for 10 days before being consumed.
And when it's actually ready, it can last up to a year outside the fridge, but if you open it and leave it in the fridge, it will last two to three months.
It's the ideal time to make all the most delicious dishes with this biquinho pepper preserve, such as in sandwiches, in recipes like baião de dois and others that deserve a little spice.
