This recipe makes up to 12 slices and the result is a creamy cake similar to pamonha, to serve on any occasion!

To make this delicious corn cake recipe, provide the following ingredients:
- 1 can of sweet corn;
- ½ can of oil (using the same measure as the can of green corn)
- 1 can of sugar;
- ½ can of cornmeal;
- 4 eggs;
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour;
- 2 tablespoons of grated coconut;
- 1 and a half teaspoons of baking powder.
PS: use the same can of corn to measure the other ingredients / the spoonfuls are for soup and need to be quite full!
How to prepare this corn cake recipe
- First, blend the can of corn, oil, sugar, cornmeal, eggs and wheat flour in a blender until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Then, using a spatula or spoon, add the grated coconut and baking powder and mix well.
- With the dough ready, now put it in the pan and put it in the preheated oven. For this recipe, The ideal is to use a round shape with a hole in the middle or else a square shape, both need to be greased and floured.
- The oven temperature needs to be 180º and the preparation time takes on average 40 minutes. To check if the cake is ready, a tip is to insert a toothpick, if it comes out clean you can take it out of the oven.
