Ingredients to prepare the fluffy savory cake:
For mass:
- 2 cups of wheat flour (280 grams)
- 2 eggs
- 1œ cups of milk (360 milliliters)
- œ cup of oil (120 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon of chemical yeast
- 1 pinch of salt
For the filling:
- 1 can of green corn
- 250 grams of ham or mortadella
- 1 can of peas
- 2 peeled tomatoes
- 200 grams of grated mozzarella cheese
- salt
- Black pepper
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
- Start by preheating the oven (180ÂșC) and blend the milk, oil and egg in a blender. Then add the flour and salt, beating to mix them, and finally, add the yeast.
- If you want to make the blender dough in a bowl, just beat the eggs and alternate the liquid ingredients (oil and milk) with the dry ingredients (flour, yeast and salt) to achieve a uniform dough.
- Now pour half of the dough into a rectangular or oval shape (or baking dish) measuring 20Ă30 cm that you have already greased and floured. Then pour the filling ingredients over the dough.
- Then, simply cover the filling with the leftover cake dough and place in the oven that has been preheated to 180ÂșC, baking for 30-40 minutes or until golden.
- So, before putting it in the oven, sprinkle the savory cake with sesame or oregano (or both), decorating it!
- As soon as the oven time is up, remove it and wait for it to cool down and remove it from the mold. Then serve the savory cake in slices and Bon appétit!
