Stroganoff Recipe: A Versatile Dish
If there is a recipe more Brazilian than Stroganoff, we don't know! But despite being a dish so often prepared at our Sunday lunches, it is not really Brazilian.

Stroganoff was created in Russia, and its name derives from the surname of an aristocratic Russian family, the Stroganov family.
But that's not what we're going to talk about today. Stroganoff is a very versatile dish, it's commonly prepared with beef or chicken, but it can be made with other main ingredients.

Today we are going to learn how we can prepare stroganoff with 3 different ingredients!
Chickpea Stroganoff Recipe
If you are a vegan, or just like to try new things, you might be interested in this delicious chickpea recipe. Here are the ingredients:

- Freshly ground black pepper to taste;
- ¼ cup chopped fresh chives;
- 2 cups roasted tomato sauce;
- 2 cups of cooked chickpeas with broth;
- ½ cup oat milk cream.
In a pan add the chickpeas and roasted tomato sauce, mix and let it cook for a few minutes until it starts to boil.
And if you forgot the chickpea broth, no problem, just add a little more water.
As soon as it starts to boil, turn off the heat and add the oat cream, then mix a little more and let it cook a little and then turn off.
Finally, add the chopped fresh chives and serve as desired, with rice or any other accompaniment you like.
Soy meat stroganoff
Another good option is the soy beef stroganoff recipe, which can be prepared easily. Here are the ingredients:
- 250g of textured soy protein;
- 1 tablespoon chives;
- 1 level teaspoon of salt;
- 1 tablespoon ketchup;
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
- 2 glasses of warm water;
- ½ onion;
- 1 vegetable broth;
- 1 tablespoon of coriander;
- 1 box of cream;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 100ml tomato sauce;
- 1 dessert spoon of mustard.
To start your recipe, the soy protein should be soaked in 2 cups of warm water for 30 minutes.
After this time, drain the protein and set aside for a while. Meanwhile, sauté the garlic in olive oil until golden. When it reaches this point, add the onion and sauté for a while longer.
After sautéing, add the soy protein in the pan and let it sauté for another 5 minutes.
When sautéed, add the tomato sauce, mustard, ketchup, vegetable broth and salt, sauté again for another 10 minutes.
After this time, add the coriander and chives, stir for a little longer and turn off the heat.
Your last step is to add the cream and mix so that it is well incorporated into the recipe. Ideally, serve your stroganoff when it is hot and with white rice if desired.
