You probably have foil or aluminum foil in your home, but do you know how to use the different types and both sides of it? Let's take a closer look at foil and how to use it.

Laminated Paper, how to use both sides?
When using aluminum foil, you may have noticed that this kitchen utensil has two sides, one shiny and one matte.
Bright side
Laminated paper has one shiny side, but do you know what it's really used for?
The shiny part retains more heat inside whatever is packaged, concentrating the heat will make anything cook much faster than normal.

Many people also think that this can make food even tastier and juicier.
Matte side
On the other hand, using the matte side of the laminated paper will serve other purposes. The main one being to store and preserve food, for example for picnics, or to store food in the refrigerator.
For it to work, you will need to wrap the food in it, for example a chocolate, with the matte side of the aluminum foil. Do not leave any gaps, otherwise it may come into contact with other foods.
Other uses of laminated paper and how to use it
Aluminum foil is very useful in the kitchen, extremely so in fact. In addition to knowing how to use the sides, you may also want to use it as a way to avoid messes and other things.
Clean up dirt
It is great for containing possible messes, and can be used as a “lining” for baking trays or air coolers, preventing your utensil from becoming extremely dirty or greasy.
It makes the whole process much easier to clean after use, and it also serves as a stove protector, as we know that oil or other ingredients can splash onto the stove during cooking.
Sharpen utensils
Another use for laminated paper is to sharpen knives and especially scissors. Over time, our scissors end up losing what we call their “edge”, making it much more difficult to cut in a straight line.
To do this, fold the paper a few times and cut it with knives or scissors at least 10 times. And whenever you need to, you can do it again so that you can have the tool as good as new.
And how not to use it?
And of course, there are some contraindications to using laminated papers, the main one being: do not use microwaves.
In fact, anything containing aluminum or metal should not be microwaved under any circumstances.
This could end in a fire, as when using the microwave with aluminum foil inside, currents of electricity may pass through, overloading the foil and leading to an explosion.
And if the paper is crumpled it can lead to sparks, which may not be as big as a fire, but are also extremely dangerous.
