Ingredients you will need to make homemade guava paste:

  • 1 kilo of red guava
  • 500 grams of sugar
  • 150 ml of water

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. The first step in the guava recipe is to cut the guavas into small pieces. Then, in a blender, blend these cut pieces of guava with water, as if you were making juice, only more concentrated.
  2. Now sift the mixture, eliminating all the seeds and then transfer the sifted juice to a pan.
  3. Then add the sugar to the pan and cook over low heat and stir to thicken until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, this takes approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
  4. Finally, to store the guava paste in jars, let it cool naturally (the jars must be sterilized glass) and cover the jars and store in a cool place.

Additional Information: This well-preserved sweet is valid for up to 3 months, but for this you must use a glass jar.

Once opened, consume it within a maximum of a week (seven days) and always store it in the refrigerator to prevent it from spoiling.
