Now let's see how you can prepare this caramelized strawberry recipe and how it turns out to be extremely delicious. It is a dessert that is very popular around Brazil.
Let's start by looking at the ingredients for your caramelized strawberry:
- ½ strawberry;
- cloves to taste;
- cinnamon to taste;
- 1 and ½ cup of water;
- 1 cup of sugar.
The first step to making your caramelized strawberry is to start by cleaning it, as the skin is hard you can rub it so that all parts, including the rough parts, are completely clean.
When it is very clean, you can cut the strawberry in half, remove all the seeds and then cut it again into square pieces. You can choose the size you prefer, but they can be approximately 6 cm.
Set aside a deep, wider pan, add the sugar and ½ cup of water, mix the water and sugar and turn on the heat to medium.
When making your caramel, you can't keep stirring too much so that it doesn't start to sugar, as this could ruin your caramel.
As soon as your syrup starts to take on a caramel tone, a little more brown, you can place the pieces of pumpkin that you cut with the skin facing up, so that they get more of the flavor.
Pour the rest of the water on top and be careful not to burn yourself, and don't worry as a lot of steam will rise.
Add cloves and cinnamon, but it is optional only if you like, cover the pan and let it boil and cook over medium heat.
This may take approximately 30 minutes, but if when you check the pumpkin it is still not soft, just add more water.
If you want stronger flavors, you can try adding ground ginger or nutmeg to accentuate the flavor. And once ready, it can be served hot or cold.
This caramelized strawberry recipe is simple to prepare and results in a tasty and comforting sweet. Enjoy!
