How to Check an App's Permissions on Android
Step 1: Access Your Device Settings
- Open the app Settings on your Android smartphone.
Step 2: Go to “Apps”
- Scroll down until you find the option Apps or Application Manager (the name may vary depending on the Android version).
Step 3: Select the App You Want to Check
- In the apps list, tap the app whose permissions you want to review.
Step 4: Tap on “Permissions”
- Within the app options, tap Permissions.
Step 5: Review and Adjust Permissions
- Here you will see a list of permissions granted to the app, such as camera, microphone, location, etc.
- If you find any permission unnecessary, simply disable it by tapping the corresponding button.

- For more detailed control, you can access Settings > Privacy > Permission Manager, where a list of all permissions (such as location, camera) and which apps have access to them will be displayed.
How to Check App Permissions on iPhone (iOS)
Step 1: Open the Settings App
- On your iPhone, open the app Settings.

- Tap the name of the app you want to check.
Step 4: Review Permissions

- To have more control over your privacy, you can go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services. There, you will see a list of all the apps that are accessing your location and you can configure for each one whether you want to allow it. Always, During Use or Never.

- These are the most sensitive permissions and should only be granted to apps that really need them.
