Ingredients to prepare banana banofee:

For the Banana Banofee Base:

  • 250g of Maria biscuits (approx. 2 and 1/2 packets)
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (approx. 130g)

For the filling:

  • 800g of dulce de leche (how to make dulce de leche at home?)
  • 6 large bananas

Roof:

  • 200ml of chilled liquid whipped cream
  • Chocolate powder for sprinkling

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. Start this pie by crushing the cookies and then mixing them into the butter, forming a very moist crumble.
  2. Then, when spreading the stuffing on the bottom and sides of a springform pan (30cm in diameter), use your fingers to press down firmly and make sure the dough sticks to the pan.
  3. Now place the pan in the preheated oven (220°C) for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and wait for it to cool.
  4. Then spread the dulce de leche over the cookie dough at the bottom of the pan.
  5. Sludge after beating the liquid whipped cream and properly chilled, so that it doubles in size and has a whipped cream texture. Set aside for later.
  6. Cut the bananas into two strips along their length, pour them over the dulce de leche with the cut side facing down.
  7. Then spread the whipped cream over the bananas, using a spatula or a piping bag (with a nozzle).
  8. Finally, sprinkle the chocolate powder on the surface of the whipped cream and leave it in the fridge for 2 hours or, if you prefer, serve it at room temperature!
